SIQUENZA'S TOAST:
Greater than Deluna and even Lafitte, DePez came for all with his Windward Fleet.

To Bacchus, Rex, and Endymion too, Our Krewe is first in all we do.

We're first in trouble, mayhem, and cheer, We've got the best ships, ladies, and beer.

So raise a glass with me, Siguenza, who says,
"Three cheers to our leader, the Admiral de Pez!"
Viva de Pez!!!
Viva de Pez!!!
Viva de Pez!!!

KREWE AND COURT TRADITIONS

SASHES: Are worn at the Mardi Gras Ball. Sashes add a sense of uniformity to the black tie attire. Purple sashes are Founding Fathers. Gold sashes are court members. Green sashes are charter members (1st year). Red sashes are current or past Admirals. Blue sashes are all other members. Sashes are worn on the right shoulder across the body to the left hip and under your coat.

FOUNDING FATHERS: The ten guys who made this Krewe possible. They served as the original board of directors and managed the Krewe its first two years.

COURT: Completely symbolic positions recognizing time and effort members have put into the Krewe over the years. Court members should have active roles in the Krewe and demonstrate tendencies toward fun and frivolity that the Krewe represents. Court members nominate the next person to take his place on the court the next year and the board makes the final decision on the nomination.

ADMIRAL ANDRES DE PEZ: Completely symbolic office that is unveiled at the Mardi Gras Ball. The admiral should represent the ideals of this Krewe and the office is a reward for efforts put forth on behalf of the Krewe. The board nominates and elects the Admiral by secret ballot. Highly recommended that he attend all events and parades.

SIGUENZA: Comes from the sophomore class of members. Is responsible for organizing and insuring that the Swabbies prepare the float for parades and clean and store the float properly after parades. The board nominates and elects the Siguenza based upon a person's dedication and leadership skills. The Siguenza is invited to attend all board meetings and has a voice, but not a vote, at all meetings.

EMBLEMS OF OFFICE: The tokens, trinkets, or gifts handed down by court members from year to year.
