Parade dress is based on historic era 16th Century:

 

White long sleeve puffy shirt under the red tabard

Black pants and boots

Black gloves

Black hat and red featherIf you wish;

 

Marsha's Menagerie on Barrancas usually has shirts, hats and feathers for rent or sale.

FLOAT RULES DO

 

• DO Beg for flesh.

• DO Enjoy yourself and throw plenty-o-beads.

• DO Drink responsibly and take care of your brethren.

• DO  Act as a proud and responsible member of the Krewe.

• DO Enter and exit slowly only from the rear entry of the floats.

• DO Throw only your own beads and throws.

 

FLOAT RULES DO NOT

 

• DO NOT Smoke or Vape on the floats.

• DO NOT Adjust the amplifier/stereo unless authorized.

• DO NOT Sit or stand on the handrails…only stand on the floor.

• DO NOT Jump from the floats.

• DO NOT Throw drinks or unapproved parade throws.

• DO NOT Throw candy.

• DO NOT Litter or throw trash.

• DO NOT Serve alcohol to people you do not know; never to minors. (only John's)

• DO NOT Unsheathe your sword.

• DO NOT Allow any non-Krewe on the floats before/after the parade without a Krewe member escort.

• DO NOT Allow any non-Krewe near or on the floats during the parade.

• DO NOT Do anything that endangers you, another person, or the Krewe.

• DO NOT Destroy any property.

 

• DO NOT BE A JERK!!! ACT RESPONSIBLY…Stop whatever you are doing (dancing and jumping)if you feel the ships rocking or bouncing too much…

 

VIOLATIONS CARRY SEVERE FINES

AND

POSSIBLE MEMBERSHIP REVOCATION
