The Spanish dollar, also known as the piece of eight is a silver coin worth eight Spanish reales. It was minted in the Spanish Empire following a monetary reform in 1497. It was widely used as the first international currency because of its uniformity in standard and milling characteristics.

Coin #1 and #2 will be auctioned off and Coin #3 will be raffled off.

Initial coin purchaser is entitled to 25% off all Merchandise for one year(excludes beads).  If this privledge is abused we reserve the right to revoke this membership benefit.  Please use responsibly.

We will have 3 special Merchandise drops/Benefits only for the coin holder each year.

Coin purchasers will have a plaque with their name and picture on it put up in the barn at the end of the year.

Coin rules

1. If a Depez Ocho coin holder drops a coin first, All coin holders must drop a coin in response, the last person to drop buys the round. If the last person doesn't have a coin they buy the round. (Only applies to the krewe members in the immediate area when the coin is dropped)
2. If a coin drop occurs, their coin trumps all with the exception of the Admiral's cross/ Admiral's Coin. The Admiral's Cross has the privledge of choosing to buy the round or send it back to the last coin holder.
3. All benefits of the coin are on the purchaser for the year.
4. You are only allowed to purchase the coin once in your career in the Krewe.

5. Don't be a douche. Have fun with your krewe brothers but be respectful.
